Police investigating an alleged sexual assault have released CCTV images of a man who could help with enquiries. The incident occurred on Saturday, July 27 at around 6.30pm when the victim boarded the train from Liverpool Lime Street heading to Birmingham New Street Station.

Shortly after finding a seat, a man sat next to her proceeded to sexually assault her and ask inappropriate questions. Detectives believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 533 28 July. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
