Eastbourne Paedophile Martyn Peter Shore was sentenced for egregious sexual offences against three youngsters in Sheffield has received a 17-year prison term.

Martyn Peter Shore, 45, of Pensford Drive, Eastbourne, inflicted years of abuse on three youngsters in Sheffield, as shown at the city’s crown court.

Martyn Peter Shore refuted the charges but was convicted following a trial for sexual offences, including indecent assault, sexual assault by penetration, enticing a child to participate in sexual behaviour, and attempted rape.

The jury deliberated for about three hours before convicting Martyn Peter Shore on all charges, following testimonies regarding his abuse of two girls and a child in Sheffield over a seven-year span from 1998 to 2005.

The victims, aged between eight and fifteen at the time of the abuse, began reporting Martyn Peter Shore to the police in 2013, prompting an inquiry.

Detective Constable Carly Booth stated: “This investigation has been protracted and intricate, and I wish to commend all three victims for their bravery in coming forward.”

Martyn Peter Shore compelled his victims to endure the additional anguish of recounting their awful abuse in court, as he declined to own responsibility for his egregious offences. “Throughout this process, the victims have demonstrated remarkable resilience, for which they deserve commendation.

“Martyn Peter Shore’s prolonged abuse of three vulnerable children and the profound impact on their lives is utterly monstrous. “The substantial sentence imposed on Shore last week underscores the severity of his offences, and I hope the victims find some solace in the knowledge that their abuser is incarcerated.”
