A mother received a video of a paedophile, Matthew Lawton, engaging in sexual acts with her daughter after he groomed her via Snapchat.
Matthew Lawton exploited two adolescent females by enticing them with propositions of cigarettes, booze, and cannabis.
The 29-year-old deceived the minors, aged 14 and 13, by falsely claiming to be 19 in order to arrange a sexual encounter.
According to UK law, engaging in sexual activity with those under 16 is illegal; however, consenting intercourse is not classified as rape if the individual is 13 years or older.
Matthew Lawton, residing on Milton Road in Widnes, harassed the two victims to provide him with intimate photographs and recorded the 14-year-old, referred to as Girl A, engaging in sexual activity with him.
The “monster” utilised the footage to coerce her into continued maltreatment, including a sexual assault after he brandished a knife at her throat, when she attempted to terminate their relationship.
When he uploaded the movie to a Snapchat account named “slags,” it was not only transmitted to her mother, but Matthew Lawton was also identified due to his distinguishing tattoos.
At the age of 30, Matthew Lawton was convicted following a trial for 19 sexual offences, which included many charges of rape against Victim A.
His prior convictions encompass the intentional infliction of serious bodily injury, during which he blinded a father in one eye for intervening to prevent him from assaulting a girl.
Matthew Lawton received a 15-year prison sentence, followed by an additional four years on licence.
