Along with only 5 years in prison for the acts, Rapist Mohammed Akram, 64, received an order for lifetime restriction following thirty years of sexual offences in Forth Valley, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
At Glasgow High Court on Monday, August 19, Akram was sentenced for the charges, including rape and sexual assault directed at four women.
“Mohammed Akram is an aggressive person who showed no regret for his violent and abusive actions,” said Detective Sergeant Ryan McMurray.
“I want to thank the ladies for their bravery in approaching the inquiry.
“Their input was crucial in enabling us to compile the evidence against him, so I hope this result gives them some closure. Please report any violence or sexual abuse you know of or have gone through.
“We employ investigators specifically looking at such crimes. Officers and our partner agencies will be there to help you fully.
