The Enderby paedophile, Patrick Campbell, who exploited adolescent males has been incarcerated for many child sexual offences. Patrick Campbell, aged twenty-five, sexually assaulted four boys from 2022 to 2024.
On 28 February, after a trial at Leicester Crown Court, Patrick Campbell was convicted of eight counts of sexual activity with a minor, one crime of sexual assault of a minor, and one count of inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Today, April 11, at Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, convening as Leicester Crown Court, he received a sentence of 12 years in prison.
Three of Patrick Campbell’s four victims – one of whom is now an adult – informed the police that he inappropriately touched them when they were alone together. The fourth victim stated that the two had encountered each other on a dating application, and during their time together, Patrick Campbell had provided him with cocaine.
A search of Patrick Campbell’s home address as part of the investigation resulted in a large quantity of children’s boxer shorts and soiled nappies being found.
Patrick Campbell, of West Street, Enderby, was also placed on the sex offender register for life and is subject to a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Detective Sergeant Jim Chaplin, the officer in the case, said: “It’s evident from this case that Patrick Campbell has a sexual interest in teenage boys and that he’s prepared to exploit people for his own sexual gratification.
“Thanks to his victims coming forward and providing details of what happened – which took a lot of bravery too – he is now facing the consequences of what he did.
“While I hope today’s outcome provides some reassurance that he’s now serving time in prison for his crimes, I also hope it may encourage other victims to come forward.
“It’s never too late to make a report of sexual abuse and there are several specialist agencies who are able to offer support.”
