A transgender man (biologically a woman), Tarjit Singh, who deceived three women into sexual encounters by utilising a prosthetic penis has been found guilty of assault by penetration.

Tarjit Singh, originally born as Hannah Walters, now identifies as male and engaged in violent relationships with three victims from June 2010 to March 2016.

Throughout the partnerships, the 32-year-old would don clothing during intercourse and utilise a fake penis in dim lighting.

As the victims enquired further, Tarjit Singh exhibited abusive and manipulative behaviour, asserting to one individual that a relationship encompasses more than just physical intimacy and advising her to articulate her emotions more effectively.

Tarjit Singh was found guilty of three counts of assault by penetration, six counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one count of making a threat to kill after a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

One victim described the sexual interaction, stating: “He appeared to be a man and behaved like one.”

The victim only realised that Tarjit Singh possessed female genitalia after discovering his strap-on prosthetic penis several months after their relationship.

She informed the police officers that she felt foolish for having succumbed to such deceit.

Tarjit Singh informed another victim that he was originally male, underwent gender reassignment to become female, and now desired to revert to being male.

The third victim encountered Singh subsequent to getting a message from the dating platform Plenty of Fish in 2014. Early in their relationship, Tarjit Singh informed her of his intention to undergo gender reassignment surgery to transition to female.

The victim encountered Tarjit Singh following what she presumed was the gender reassignment surgery and observed that he possessed breasts but exhibited no scarring.

The apprehension of the suspect

Tarjit Singh was apprehended following the escalation of this connection into abuse, prompting the victim to file a police report. The inquiry subsequently connected to two prior victims.

During the trial, the prosecution presented mobile phone evidence indicating that Singh had visited websites, including FreeToMProsthetics.com, a company specialising in ultra-realistic prosthetic penises.

Melissa Garner, representing the CPS, stated: “These victims have been misled, betrayed, and subjected to egregious and traumatic deceit.” One of the victims was merely 16 years old at the time she encountered the defendant.

Tarjit Singh, originally named Hannah Walters, identified as male, donned masculine attire, and adopted a male name. He deceived three unsuspecting ladies into believing he was male, and when confronted, he assaulted them viciously and coerced them into maintaining relationships.

Tarjit Singh has consistently denied his misdeeds and maintains that the victims were cognisant of his gender.
