Wayne Traill Gravesend Paedophile

A child rapist paedophile from Gravesend, Wayne Traill, perpetrated abuse against many victims for over a decade. Wayne Traill has been incarcerated for over 20 years.

Wayne Traill was convicted of 21 distinct charges after the court determined that he had targeted one of his victims in the 1990s and subsequently exploited two additional minors. They were cautioned that no one would credibly accept their allegations of assault.

Law enforcement was notified in March 2022, resulting in Wayne Traill’s arrest. He declined to provide commentary during interviews and originally repudiated any misconduct in court.

A 52-year-old resident of Stonebridge Road, Northfleet, ultimately entered a guilty plea just before a trial at Woolwich Crown Court, acknowledging charges of rape, attempted rape, sexual assaults, and gross indecency. On December 19, 2024, Wayne Traill received a sentence of 21 years’ imprisonment.

The judge stated that he had ‘groomed and abused’ his victims and characterised him as ‘a perilous sexual offender’. Upon his ultimate release from prison, Traill will be subject to an extended licence period of eight years. He will also be retained on the sex offenders registry indefinitely.

Detective Constable Daniel Grant, who led the investigation, stated: “Wayne Traill consistently inflicted depraved and abhorrent abuse upon his victims, resulting in immeasurable harm to their young lives.” He is a predatory juvenile sex offender who employed fear and intimidation to achieve sexual fulfilment, and whose reprehensible activities will regrettably have a permanent and significant effect on his victims.

“The realisation of justice is primarily attributable to the remarkable courage and valour of his victims, and I am thankful that Wayne Traill is now incarcerated, preventing any further harm to other young children.”
