Dr. Matthew Isles, 52, served as an ear, nose, and throat consultant at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford, until his arrest on Monday, according to the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

Staffordshire Police reported that Matthew Isles, from the Cheadle region, was apprehended after an inquiry by the Public Protection Unit and subsequently charged on Tuesday.

Matthew Isles pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor at North Staffordshire Justice Centre and was granted conditional release, according to the police.

He is scheduled to appear for sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on April 11.

In a statement, UHNM declared: “We are maintaining full cooperation with the police in their investigation and cannot comment on an ongoing criminal case.”
