A 44-year-old Blackburn Paedophile, Gregg Riley, who lured a schoolgirl on Snapchat, subsequently drugged her, and engaged in sexual conduct has been incarcerated.
Gregg Riley captured nude images of his 15-year-old victim when she was semi-conscious at his residence in Blackburn.
Gregg Riley additionally pursued other female students from the same high school in East Lancashire as the victim by financing their Snapchat Premium subscriptions and soliciting explicit images or sharing his sexual fantasies with them.
On July 5, 2024, our officers were approached by the safeguarding lead at the school, who expressed concerns for several children in Year 8 and Year 10 over a guy with whom the students had interacted through Snapchat.
The woman recounted that Gregg Riley had abducted her, administered ketamine, and while kissing her, stated: “I only want you.” I desire your perpetual presence.
During the drive to Blackpool, Gregg Riley informed her, knowing she was 15 years old, “We will relocate to Scotland to marry, as one can wed at 16.”
Gregg Riley thereafter transported her to his residence in Blackburn; however, due to the effects of the ketamine, the victim lost consciousness multiple times throughout the ride and had to be carried into the house.
At that moment, Gregg Riley initiated sexual activities and captured nude photographs without her consent.
The victim subsequently blocked Gregg Riley on Snapchat.
Subsequent investigations revealed that after purchasing Snapchat Premium for another victim, Gregg Riley shifted the dialogue to a sexual nature, making remarks about her hair and school uniform.
Gregg Riley subsequently requested a meeting with her, expressing his desire to engage in sexual intercourse and to inflict harm, since it constituted his fantasy. He subsequently discussed necrophilia and engaging in sexual acts while she was unconscious.
Gregg Riley stated that he adored the girl and transferred between £200 and £260 to her via PayPal.
The victim transmitted to Riley explicit photographs and a video of herself.
Gregg Riley purchased Snapchat Premium for another girl on her 15th birthday and then informed her that he had a dream about her involving chains and whips.
Following his arrest, Gregg Riley’s phone was confiscated, revealing 294 indecent photographs of minors and four illicit images.
This file contained numerous photographs, including images of unfamiliar children that seem to be screenshots from social media. Several photographs of children, originally depicting them dressed in normal scenarios, have been altered using a nudification application. This utilises the original photograph of an individual, superimposing their face onto a nude body, so rendering the image inappropriate if the individual is under 18 years of age.
Gregg Riley, formerly of Blackburn and currently without a fixed address, was charged with soliciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to participate in sexual conduct, creating indecent images or pseudo-photographs of a child, and possessing a forbidden image of a child.
He admitted guilt to all charges during his appearance at Preston Crown Court in a hearing last year.
On April 23rd, Riley returned to the same court where he was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment and assigned an additional seven-year licence period after being classified as a dangerous offender by the judge.
He was subjected to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and mandated to register on the Sex Offenders Register for life. A lifetime restraining order was established to prevent Gregg Riley from contacting his victims.
