A Weston Super Mare Paedophile sexual offender, Kevin Geoffrey Thompson, who raped a lady and possessed hundreds of obscene photographs and films depicting the abuse of children has been incarcerated.
Kevin Geoffrey Thompson, a paedophile from Weston-super-Mare, admitted to sexual assault and the production of over 4,200 classified images. Indecent photographs of youngsters, classified as the highest and most serious category.
Police officers conducted a search of Kevin Geoffrey Thompson’s residence on intelligence received from another law enforcement agency. His mobile phone was confiscated and examined to determine the scope of his offences.
The 61-year-old individual accumulated obscene images of minors over an eight-year span, with one of the Category A videos likely to exceed one hour in duration.
Kevin Geoffrey Thompson, residing on Totterdown Road, Weston-super-Mare, entered a guilty plea to six charges:
- Producing 32 indecent still and moving images of children classified as category A
- Producing 25 indecent still and moving images of children classified as category B – Producing 4,200 indecent still and moving images of children classified as category C – Distributing indecent images of children
- For deliberately engaging in non-consensual sexual contact with a female over the age of 18
- For the production of obscene photos of minors
On June 5, he received a five-year prison sentence at Bristol Crown Court. He received a 10-year restraining order, an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, and has registered as a sex offender.
