A Cramlington Paedophile sexual deviant, Logan Thew, is confronting imprisonment after transmitting explicit images of himself to a ‘young girl’ and soliciting similar images in return.
Logan Thew believed he was communicating with a 13-year-old girl, but she was, in fact, a decoy established by the internet paedophile hunter organisation DANK Dragon.
Logan Thew, aware of her age, transmitted explicit photographs of himself, solicited similar images from her, and expressed a desire to engage in sexual intercourse, as presented in court.
Nevertheless, his information was relayed to the police, and Logan Thew, residing at Phoenix Court in Morpeth, was subsequently arrested for attempting to initiate sexual communication with a minor.
Logan Thew admitted admission to the charge at his appearance at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court this week. Prosecutor Rehana Haque stated that the matter should be referred to the crown court for sentencing.
The magistrates sent the case to Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing and granted Thew bail, requiring his appearance on July 4.
UPDATE 10.07.25
Logan Thew, who is a father, was reported to police by the vigilante group and he was arrested in Blyth on December 13.
Judge Edward Bindloss sentenced Logan Thew to eight months prison, suspended for 18 months. He must complete 25 rehabilitation days and 80 hours unpaid work.
A 10 year sexual harm prevention order was also made and he will be on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
