The Weedon Paedophile, Paul Strong, has absconded to Thailand to evade incarceration following a sexual assault conviction.
Paul Strong, 65, of High Street, was convicted after a trial. He was later summoned to Northampton Crown Court for his sentencing hearing, during which he verbally abused court personnel, indicating his intention to permanently avoid returning to the UK or participating in the judicial process.
Paul Strong was sentenced in his absence at Northampton Crown Court on Friday, March 10th. He was unrepresented due to the withdrawal of instructions from his defence attorney.
A victim stated that, because to Paul Strong’s activities, she was rendered incapable of eating, sleeping, or functioning. She experienced constant anxiety and faced financial difficulties due to a 10-week absence from work. She experienced isolation from her close friends due to her apprehension of encountering Strong in public and her inability to trust anyone again.
“This is merely his method of inflicting emotional torment, attempting to render my life unbearable,” she stated.
Paul Strong possesses prior convictions for possession of an offensive weapon and violation of a restraining order.
The court was informed that Paul Strong acknowledged his alcohol dependency and his diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, for which he was receiving medication.
Her Honour Judge Rebecca Crane imposed a total sentence of three years’ imprisonment on Strong.
He was registered on the Sex Offenders Register for a duration of seven years, and a restraining order was enacted for ten years.
