Peter Waring paedophile child sex offender - Clitheroe

The Clitheroe Paedophile, Peter Waring has been sentenced to a 14-year prison term for committing sexual offences in the past.

Peter Waring, a resident of Clitheroe, received his sentence at Winchester Crown Court the previous Friday following his admission of guilt to 12 distinct offences.

The crimes were committed against five female victims, all of whom were 16 years old or younger. These incidents occurred over three decades, from 1973 to 2007.

Peter Waring received a prison sentence of 14 years and will be placed under a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order after being released.

Det Sgt Sam Prickett expressed gratitude to the five victims in this case for their courage to come forward and provide us with information regarding these offences.

“By speaking out, even after so many years, they have ensured Peter Waring is put behind bars where he can’t hurt anyone else.

“I hope any women out there who think we won’t take their report seriously because years have passed will see this result and know they can still speak to us.”
