Steven Hanna, the Birmingham Paedophile employed inside the pastoral staff at a Birmingham school has been incarcerated for several child sexual offences.
We discovered that Steven Hanna had recorded students using his phone during our inquiry.
The school was promptly notified, and we collaborated with our Public Protection Unit (PPU) to identify and assist the affected students.
Steven Hanna, 41, was first charged with many child sexual crimes, including sexual assault, and was detained in custody while the investigation proceeded.
Steven Hanna was also found to own indecent images of children not linked to the school.
A thorough investigation was conducted, and this led to further charges against the 41-year-old, Steven Hanna.
Steven Hanna, of Birmingham, pleaded guilty to a total of 17 charges relating to voyeurism, attempted voyeurism, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, possession of indecent images and possession of extreme pornography.
Steven Hanna was jailed at Birmingham Crown Court today (18 September) for seven years.
DC Kayleigh Driscoll, from our PPU, said: “Steven Hanna put himself in a position of trust which allowed him to carry out some of these obscene offences without the knowledge of his victims.
“We have worked closely with the school, and they have provided vital support in identifying and supporting the children and the families involved.”
