A ‘predatory’ Yaddlethorpe Paedophile, Christopher Florides, who sought out teenage females for sexual enjoyment has been sentenced to six years in jail, a sexual harm prevention order, and a life term on the sex offenders register after appearing at Grimsby Crown Court on Friday, June 28.
Christopher Florides, 62, of High Street, Yaddlethorpe in Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to nine charges of sexual assault in February. He was arrested on Sunday, July 24, 2022, after we received complaints that he was sexually assaulting girls.
PC Ryan Harvey, the case officer, stated, “First and foremost, I would want to praise the victims and their families for their bravery and courage during the investigation and court procedures.
“It takes a lot to come forward, and we realise how tough it is to make that first step, but by reporting these crimes to us, they have helped bring this manipulative man to jail.
“We take all accusations of sexual offences very seriously and will continue to pursue prosecution against anyone who believes it is right to conduct these types of crimes.
“It is never the victim’s fault, and I highly urge anyone who suspects they are being manipulated or receiving unwelcome, twisted attention to contact a trusted adult or friend and report it to us.
“I urge anyone else who has been touched by this case or has any other information on Christopher to contact our non-emergency hotline 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
“Through collaboration with social services and family support teams, the victims and their families in this case were able to get vital support, which we provide to all victims of sexual offences, whatever of circumstances.
“When you are ready, you will be listened to, you will be believed, and we will do everything we can to bring those who cause most harm in our communities to justice.”
