A 20-year-old Boston Rapist, Keith Lindop, has received a five-year prison sentence for attempting to rape a lady in a parking lot sexually.

At 03:15 BST on 22 June of this year, police got a call from a member of the public reporting that a woman in her twenties had been assaulted in Boston and was located at a McDonald’s on Queen Street.

Officers responded, and the victim verified that the crime occurred in the long-stay car park on George Street.

Keith Lindop, residing on Station Street in Boston, admitted guilt to a charge of attempted rape and an additional charge of actual bodily injury. He received his sentence at Lincoln Crown Court on 15 November.

Keith Lindop will serve his sentence in a juvenile detention facility. He was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and permanently registered as a sex offender.

He received a 24-week sentence for the offence of actual bodily harm, to be served concurrently.

DC Sarah Oliver, the officer in charge of the case, said: “Keith Lindop is a predatory and dangerous individual in the way that he watched and followed the victim.

“He was excessively violent during the attack. It was down to the courage and determination that the young woman showed in standing up to him that she managed to escape.”

Boston Neighbourhood Policing’s Insp Ian Cotton said: “This really was excellent work from our officers, working all hours to bring this dangerous offender to justice.

“No woman should go through what this survivor did.

“Tackling violence against women and girls is a priority and there should be no hiding place for those who prey on women.”
