Following an inquiry by North Yorkshire Police, Nathan Woods-Springer Sherburn Paedophile who tormented helpless small children with terrible sexual assault has been imprisoned.
Arrested in May 2023 on suspicion of sexual offences against children, Nathan Woods-Springer, 37, of Sherburn in Elmet. Additionally taken from his house were several pieces of technological equipment.
Searching the seized devices revealed pictures of Woods-Springer allegedly engaging in sexual crimes against children.
Nathan Woods-Springer was charged with six counts of rape and nine counts of sexual abuse directed at juveniles.
When the crimes occurred, the victims were all relatively young. Officers made sure the patients got expert treatment.
Nathan Woods-Springer was also accused of obtaining and producing pornographic images of children, including hundreds of “Category A” images — the most severe category.
At York Crown Court on September 6, 2023 and February 19, 2024, he entered a guilty plea to all the counts.
He was given a 36-year extended sentence on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Detective Chief Inspector Carol Kirk of North Yorkshire Police claims Nathan Woods-Springer caused unimaginable suffering and brutality on relatively young and defenceless youngsters. His acts are disgusting; he deserves to be behind bars.
“I would wish to acknowledge the research team that presented this sad case before the courts. Their professionalism and care guaranteed Nathan Woods-Springer would pay for his conduct. I also want to thank the relatives, carers, and professional partners for their assistance in looking after the victims through this trying period. Above all, I commend the victims for their bravery.
I hope the result motivates victims of any kind of sexual abuse to come forward. We will and can prosecute the offenders regardless of the length of time ago it happened.”
