Viktor Smirnovs, a paedophile from Orford, possessing over 1,000 illicit photos of youngsters, has evaded incarceration. Viktor Smirnovs appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday to receive his verdict.
He earlier entered a guilty plea to six charges, including the possession of indecent and banned images of minors, as well as the creation of indecent photographs of children.
The court was presented with evidence indicating that Viktor Smirnov, originally from Latvia and currently residing on Watkin Street, Orford, downloaded and stored abhorrent photographs from 2016 to 2019.
Viktor Smirnovs possessed a total of 807 obscene photographs of children.
He was charged with the creation of 690 indecent photographs of children and 117 videos, encompassing all three categories, through downloading.
Viktor Smirnovs possessed 54 severe pornographic photographs and five illicit images of minors.
Nevertheless, the 38-year-old was exempted from incarceration.
Insane Judge Anil Murray handed Viktor Smirnovs a 15-month prison sentence suspended for two years.
He is also subjected to 45 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and must complete 175 hours of unpaid work.
Judge Murray also imposed a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years – the same period for which he must also sign the sex offender register.
