Anthony Collins Dover paedophile sex offender

Anthony Collins, a ‘serious offender’ paedophile from Dover, has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after confessing to engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor. The victim contacted Kent Police in March 2023.

She stated that she had been sexually attacked by one individual. Anthony Collins was recognised as the offender and was interrogated on the crimes later that month.

Anthony Collins, aged 55, formerly of Maison Dieu Road, was subsequently charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a child and confessed to the offences at Canterbury Crown Court in May 2024. On November 22, he received a sentence of seven and a half years, with an additional requirement to serve four and a half years on licence thereafter.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Maria Cutter said: “The victim in this case showed great bravery in reporting the incident first to a friend and then to police. I am pleased we were able to quickly bring charges, which have led to this dangerous offender being jailed for a considerable period of time.

“I urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences, whether recently or some time ago, to speak to police as soon as possible. We will work with you to take the action which is right for you. Coming forward could also help protect others from sexual offenders, or those who pose harm to women and girls.”
